UGG® Footwear Care & CleaningProper care of your UGG® boots is important. We've assembled some helpful information on cleaning and caring for your UGG® footwear. CLASSIC, ULTRA, and SLIPPER Items (items with suede sheepskin outers) Ensure maximum water repellency and protect against stains by using UGG® Australia Sheepskin Water and Stain Repellent (products will not be covered by warranty if something other than UGG® Repellent is used on the products as discoloration may occur). To clean, UGG® Australia recommends using UGG® Australia Sheepskin Cleaner & Conditioner - formulated from natural products using coconut and jojoba oils. Hand wash only - DO NOT put in washing machine. Wet entire boot or shoe with cold water. Apply small amount of UGG® Australia Sheepskin Cleaner to a clean sponge or soft brush. Clean entire area thoroughly and evenly. Rinse clean in cold water. Reshape by stuffing with paper towel. Allow to dry naturally and slowly - DO NOT dry in direct heat or sunlight. Black Boots Black sheepskin boots such as the Classic, Ultra, etc are dyed. Some people have experienced dye transference to their feet. This is normal. To cut down on this transference, UGG® suggests you vacuum the fur on the inside, as this will pull off any extra residue left on the fur by the dye. It may not eliminate all of the dye, so you may want to wear thin socks for a few weeks as well. If you do get dye on your feet the dye comes off easily with Neutrogena bar soap. FLUFF Items Gently brush your boots with a wire brush regularly. If dirt appears that will not come out by brushing, dampen boots with clear cold water. Wipe with a soft cloth and let air dry. Do not put near heat or sunlight to dry. After drying use wire brush again to smooth out fur. |
